Nicole Powell is a seasoned professional passionate about social justice, equity, and access. With nearly 15 years of experience in program and event management, Nicole has dedicated her career to positively impacting under-resourced communities and society. 

Previously serving as the Events and Logistics Specialist at Danone North America, Nicole strategically planned and project-managed various corporate events, including company town halls, senior leader meetings, and company-wide events for approximately 6,000 employees. Before her role at Danone, Nicole held the position of Events Manager in the Wellness department at 1199SEIU Benefits and Pension Funds. There, she worked collaboratively with various stakeholders to provide 1199SEIU Union members with life-changing resources, such as mental health and physical well-being services, through 1199SEIU Fund’s wellness initiatives and events. 

In addition to her professional experience, Nicole actively serves her Brooklyn, NY, community as chair of the Membership Committee with the Brownstoners of Bedford Stuyvesant, Incorporated. 

Nicole holds an M.A. in History from Jackson State University and a B.A. in Communications from Rider University.
